The 14th Annual Judy Brunner Memorial Slalom took place this past Sunday at the Picton Airport hosted by the St. Lawrence Automobile Club.

A great day with 91 entries, with 518 runs completed, wrapping up just after 4:30 in the afternoon. The longest slalom course of the season used all three runways resulting in an additional challenge of both mental and physical fatigue. A third of the field managed to break the two minute barrier, Paul K eclipsed the barrier by nearly 10s and had the fastest run of the day at 110.028s. Trung D and Mike A were the runners up at more then a second behind. In the PAX battle Trung D and Paul K were runners up to Pawel M who in his only clean run of the day managed a factored time of 95.607s in his STZ Miata.

Marshalls were again kept busy, with a large course to cover and cars arriving approximately every 30 seconds it was a busy day. Nearly 30% of the runs had at least one cone knocked down (225 cones down over 152 runs). The marshalls showed a lot of hustle getting the course ready for the next car - 47 runs had two or more cones knocked out of place and we only needed 12 rerun's on the day, which was a great.

The next event in the series is a little less then a month away on Sunday June 24th. Event 3 is hosted by Twin Lakes Motor Club (TLMC) at the Barrie Molson Centre.

The Trillium Chapter of the BMW Club of Canada hosted event 1 of the Mobil 1 Autoslalom Championship Presented By Toyo Tires Sunday May 20th at the Driver Developpment track at Mosport.

A great day with 89 entries, with over 440 runs completed in a little over 6 hours from start to finish, with fun runs for those who couldn't get enough from the 5 official timed runs. The timers and marshalls were kept busy with 207 cones hit. Almost half of the runs (47.5%) had a penalty of some sort called, (162 runs with cones and 47 off course calls.)

FTD congrats out to Tom S, in his A-Modified TSR special and to Trung D for taking the overall PAX victory (and a mear 1.5s behind Tom in the FTD chase).

We'll see you all in less then a week in Picton for the 14th annual Judy Brunner Memorial Slalom Sunday May 27th. St. Lac is also hosting a Pro-Solo the day before so you can make a weekend to trip out to Prince Edward County. More info here.
