The origins of the Race Drivers' Guild can be traced to several informal get togethers, largely at race tracks around Ontario, or during subsequent phone calls or email and forum discussions. Not surprisingly, much of the talk seemed to center on how to improve racing (and racers) at the grassroots, amateur, semi-pro and even professional levels.

Membership is "generally" limited to those who are active, or soon to be active, automobile roadracers. Central to the club's creation and unique nature is a determination by members to embrace and uphold the spirit of our "Racer's Creed".
