Selling my wifes 1997 4dr civic-has air and 5spd,4 snows,new wires,plugs,cap and rotor,exhaust manifold(includes cat.converter)in decent condition-just need a larger vehicle.
Asking $6500 certified, has 170,000kms,compare against what dealers our asking and I think the price is more than fair.

He nearly did at Peterborough, and Rob Smith did...hmmm you'd think you'd be used to it by now. :)

Ha Ha,Wes drove a coupe in Peterbough, with the tire bonus I beat them buy a small margin,Robb included(they never post the corrected time on the results page, wish they did as it leads to some confusion).
Our you going to bring the sentra into BSS next year MR.nissan racer?,you made noticable improvements in driving last summer and I certainly don't mind more competition.I won every event I entered except one of the double header days(I did win but a scoring error, whada'ya gonna do?)BUT I don't see that happening again next year!!(winning all of em I mean)
Wes is a great driver and I think I be beaten on more than one occasion, besides most of you guys get to run alot more events than I do so seat time becomes very important.

I still have more to learn before I pose much of a threat in either B1 or BSS, haven't decided if I'm going to do mods that will bump me up or not, it is temping.

Ahh Mr.nissan guy,I think you'll like a modded car to drive much better,I know anytime I get behind the wheel of something stock again all that body roll screws up my timing on turn ins etc.And a front driver with only a big rear bar(instead of stiff rear springs and a bar)hikes the rear of the car so bad it feels like its going to flip over(really feels screwy in the slaloms!)
As a suggestion I'd run a coilover kit from ground control so as to be able to pick the spring rates for performance.I'm not familiar with strut locations on the control arms of sentra's to take a guess at spring rates but wheel rates around 500lbs/inch front and 600-700lbs/inch rear should make things alot more fun(ride will suffer a bit but thats ok right?)Andy in the black civic hatch runs 1000lbs springs and a big rear bar(I forget what front spring is) and he says the ride on the street isn't too bad,and his car is lighter than a sentra!
Just buying a set of lowering springs(progressive rate)isn't worth the 3 points as they tend to be fine on the street but with R-tires just aren't stiff enough, just my .02 cents.
I run 550lbs/inch springs up front and around 300lbs/inch in the rear of the corolla(stock bars) and with r-tires next year I'm thinking on going even stiffer(I need more wheel travel to,what ever happened to the table top smooth lots?)

Yeah the coilovers are the big mod I'm thinking of, My Sentra comes pretty well equiped otherwise and I don't think anything short of coilovers will make a big difference. It already comes with strut tower bar and decent front and rear bars, roll is pretty minimal now considering its a stock car

The factory springs are pretty stiff, though nowhere near the factory Spec V springs which are in the neighborhood of 325# front and 375# rear.
Basically I will decide on going to BSS based on coilovers, after they bump me up there are many freebies. But if I don't I will probably leave the car as is.

nice pic nissan racer, but the ddt is very polished and when wet offers very little grip, the sentra still rolls a bit even in those conditions.Look closely at the outside front wheel and you'll see that your running + dynamic camber and the tire is folding under quite badly.
For those 3 prep points you can also run a non-stock alignment for free which is likely one of the biggest improvments allowed. As I'm sure you know - camber doesn't wear the tires as bad as toe in/out does,so you can get away with a decent amount of - camber up front and keep the toe reasonable(0 toe works ok)I used to run a 99 civic sir, lowered with springs(front camber was - 1.75 uncorrected, rear was 0 with alignment kit)with 0 toe, also 19mm rear bar.The car was fun on the on ramps but the springs were to soft and the nose was to heavy to be competitive in BSP were it got stuck(very wrongly classed stock).I just mention all that to say that the tire wear wasn't to bad, just rotate the tires fairly often, which is easy when switching back and forth to r-tires.
