 I don't know - I just don't know.
Marco (Magnus Motorsports) and I finished the season with a major rebuild - including complete re-wiring and the 2.4 block.
Couldn't get a single decent run during the last two events. Then we cracked an engine mount in November. We still have a BIGGER turbo to be swapped in. But guys in the states are going crazy - and our 750 HP at the wheels is becoming "common place". Marco is now talking about methanol and trying for 850-900!
Right now a lot of my time, effort and money are going into building the new Spec-V into a world class touring car. This is my project with Perry and Robb Smith.
Someone with a Nissan has to step up to challenge your ex-nemesis, Krazy Dave, and his new super-weasel Honda touring machine - now that he has run away from you! :D
(You can run but you can't hide!)
Will keep you informed.

900WHP could be fun. ;)
run and hide? from Adam?? With his truck engine??? Bah! He may have over 300whp shortly, I've already helped him install his Tein RA's, but as Nick knows as well as anybody the more boost you add the more likely things are to go...BOOM! I'm pretty familiar with that sound myself, come to think of it :p Anyway, I'll put a few $ on my wretched little SOHC Honda engine, with its might 160whp or so, continuing to keep all you Nissan weasels humble. Adam with his two left feet and two right hands is going to have a real tough time keeping his beast in a straight line, while I'll be merrily preserving speed and momentum through every corner with my lightweight Civic and my hands and feet that actually communicate with each other very well
BRING IT ON NISSAN WEASELS!
so the gauntlet has been dropped....
well my 13 year old sohc truck engine i think is gonna lay a good beating to all the hondas...and just to make sure my 2 left feet don't get in the way..i will add another 20-30rwhp to the engine just to make sure
it will be the battle of the sohcs......nissan sohc vs honda sohc....
you just preserve all that speed...and i will blast thru the straight aways
re: going BOOM....hey your the "BOOM" meister..how many engines? i only lost 1 motor so far...your on #3 if i recall
while the smack talk is going on....where are all the zo6 owners..i might as well start on them now as well....
for 2004..i have a very special treat being built for them :)
i am going to use some good ole' american steel to battle american steel in 2004......the rods are my hammer..and the pistons are the last nail in the V8 coffin... ha h a ha hahahahahahahahahahahahhaha....
let them eat some custom forged ross pistons...and some manley nascar V8 rods.......do i hear gobs of boost calling my name....ohh the sweet sound of 20psi of boost.....revel in your glory V8 lovers...cause the day is coming soon...ok 1 year from now...but soon....

hi nick,
that sounds like a very cool project....a full alcohol motor would be awesome...you would probably need several banks of fuel injectors..since you need way more fuel.....
what turbo are you going to now?
what about just using more nitrous? run a 300-400shot on a progressive controller..it would be much simpler no? thats if the motor can take the shock....on top of the larger turbo set up.....
have you got a air to water intercooler yet?
i was thinking about building one based on liqued nitrogen...and i think other than the pressure buildup and blow off tubes you would need it would be very feasable...and you could get ait temps down to the range of -70 to -100..... though handling liqued nitrogen is a PITA.....i have not seen it done before? don't know why...
have you coverted to ford rear end yet?

Hey, if rules allowed me to, I'd be adding boost to my motor too. More power = more fun, right? :)
It'll be fun seeing if you can catch us V8 guys running gas we bought from Marysville Sunoco with your gutted VP110-swilling Nissan abomination. :p
sorry i am still running on ultra 94 with 12psi of boost....:)
we will see... 2-3 seconds is alot on a track ...but it can be done...

Yeah, but when you go to 20PSI you sure won't be running 94. Unless you drop compression seriously, at least.
Sounds like it's starting to be a fun car, in all seriousness. Fun cars are fun cars, I don't really care if there's a V8 under the hood.
