First of all, as those who attended the last meeting know, it brings me great pride to announce that 2003 marks the Western Ontario Sports Car Association's 50th Anniversary! The club was founded with 14 initial members back in 1953.

But it gets better. We have aquired a new lot and will be celebrating our golden aniversary with the beginning of a new Winter Slalom Series.

There are two dates so far: Feb 2nd and 23rd.
Location: Blandford Mall, Woodstock, Ontario.
Registration and setup begin at 10:30, first car around 12 noon. Entry Fee: $20.00, $15.00 for WOSCA members.

Race goes any weather. In the event of a snow covered lot WOSCA snow classes apply. See the website for more details.

Check the website for updates, directions and further events.

But wait there's more! The new lot is 30 from London, ON THE TORONTO SIDE!

The lot is available, because Walmart abandoned the property. Pavement condition is good, but not as nice as Hershey Centre. The section we have access to is not plowed, so snow slaloms are likely if the weather holds (although it likely won't).

Reminder, first event is this Sunday.

The lot is being plowed tomorrow in order to smooth out the ruts. Check the website on Saturday for lot condition report.

In the 5 years I have been a WOSCA member, no non member has ever been forced to marshal at a WOSCA event... Ever!

yes, but... i forgot my wheel lock at home!

eeesh, lets just say, i spun alot. my rears are completely bald. i managed a 32 (+ 1 cone) pass. i have no clue what FTD was though. all in all, i had alot of fun. :)

There were a couple of other drivers that were in the low 28's on there last run, but collected cones.
