What type and brand is everyone running on their SOLO II cars - honda recommends a DOT3 so I thought that I would ask those who know...
Any suggestions will be helpful as brake replacement (and fulid change time) approaches.
Thanks,
W.

Ford spec DOT3 from Canadian Tire. I've use some of the more expensive stuff like ATE Super Blue and it only went one lap farther before boiling on the road course.
For Solo-2 the demands on brakes are very low. If you don't do lapping days then OE fluid will do fine, just flush it with fresh fluid every year. But the Ford stuff is quite cheap and a great "might as well" item.

Yep, like Marshall said Ford Spec DOT 3 from CTC. I use it for Solo 2 and Solo 1.
If you are doing lapping stints of more than 10 laps and you are brutally hard on brakes (or just stupid fast down the straights) you will be bleeding the brakes after some sessions. If you are going to be doing this type of lapping, some make shift air ducts (dryer hose) could be in order.
dot 4 motul sbf600 is only 12 bucks a can...and is far better...you can get it at most cycle shops

As for procedure, I'm going to try and make one of these this year. I have most of the parts.

I'll be putting in fresh fluid after another few thousand kilometers .. planning on DOT 4 Motul. (Also Motul tranny fluid but that's off-topic). No specific reason to go with Motul over any other .. guess it's just a "brand" thing for me.
