1. Where do you guys buy the tires, do you wait for a group buy? I usually buy used(or get free tires) I may go new this year, but I have no clue where to go, or when to buy?

2. Where is the rule book for 2007? I've started work on my car, but I'd like to know what I can/can't do. Are the rules genrally the same as 06? Where is the link to the 06 rulebook?

3. Is there a weight option in provincial autoX IF I don't have a cage? Or if my cars weight isn't listed(My SE CRX has many factory options that make it heavier, but I can't find a weight for it)

4. No special licence is required for autoX correct?(unlike Solosprint 50$ licence)

5. Is there a May event planed for sure? I know the Mosport event was cancelled, but I'm trying to plan my schedule already and need to know.

6. Can anybody run at the SCCA autoX nationals? Do you have to pre-qualify?

7. Is there a DB limit in Provincial?

8. Do you have to take a PiP for non-stock wheel size if you go smaller?
(probably a really dumb question)

9. Are you allowed a passenger during competetive runs? What is the youngest age a passenger can be? Is there anyway to get my 7 year old in the car with me at events and be legal? Is it an insurance issue? Can I sign a waiver?

10. Is my Snell 95 Helmet still good this year?

11. Sunroof open or closed?

Darren, I'll try a few...

1) GBs are the best way to go if the timing is right for you. Club and series sponsors are usually the best people to see. WTZ, Talon and TRAC are among the usual suspects.

3)NO
4)Right, none required
6) Yes and the more the merrier. Email me if you need advice and/or encouragement. No need to qualify but it will cost a bit more, some come to PERU to get your waiver.
8) No but this mod is not authorized in SCCA and FSAQ stock classes.
9) depends on event and organisers. See event specific rules or email organisers
10) Nope minimum Snell 00 ( Pm me, I can help here)
11) Your choice in most events.

Hope this helps and it will be fun to see you at an event.

8) No but this mod is not authorized in SCCA and FSAQ stock classes.

As of the 2006 rule book you did. Non stock wheel is one prep point, R's are another prep point.

2)Rule book is traditionally realesed at the open house. There won't be any large changes from 2006, but if your building a car and have specific questions contact the regional Director (now Pete Mills)

7)There has previously been a 95dB noise limit for the whole series, but this is typically not enforced if the host club is not concerned about noise. Host clubs can place lower limits if they are required for the lot and those limits are usually enforced.

8)As corrected above, yes as of the 2006 rule book

9)The region restricts passenger age in section 3.3.K, although the rule in the 2006 rulebook conflicts it self by saying both 14 and 9. The rule as explained to me by Wes was over 14 for competition over 9 for fun runs. But the rule book says nobody under 18 can ride during competition (dispite the fact they are allowed to compete). Clubs are free to place their own restrictions on passengers. The only club who's rule I know is much stricter to CASC-OR is COMP, who's rule is somewhat ghestopo like. When I was raining champion we were told in the driver's meeting that only instructors could ride with people. I asked the organizer, who I knew, if he would list me as an instructor and he said no. Genius!

11) Suprise us. You can (and always should) remove removable tops aswell.
