Can you clarify if the first event is May 5th (Sat.) or May 6th (Sun.)? The flyer says 5th but the website says 6th.
Thanks,
Tashko.

All that news sounds really good, Glad to see the YKW guys are with you. What happenes if williams doesn't make pads for your car though?

If Williams does not have backing plates for a particular application, the onus will be on the competitor to supply them with used backing plates (used brake pads) and they will make a set from them. Williams stocks MOST current model pads.

**also just a Helmet reminder**
The minimum SNELL rating went up this year!!
The minimum rating went up to M2000. (If you bought one last year its probably an M2005, which is good until 2015...at least).
M1995 are out of date for solo purposes

Thanks to all who took the Time to visit the Williams factory and sign up. The turnout was fantastic. had to be close to 100 people and at least 70 plus sign-ups.
Nice to see all the people there with kids. It was a great day. I hope all enjoyed the factory tours.

Williams Push It To The Limit Series
Series Information Update:
Our first event is just around the corner, Saturday, May 5, 2007. Hope to see everyone out and ready for another great season.
WILLIAMS BRAKE PAD ORDERS
Brake pad orders have been passed on to Williams for manufacturing and the bulk of the order should be delivered to the club on Monday, April 30/07. If you wish to pick up your brake pads before the first event, email me at the club (thelimit@rogers.com) on Monday and I'll check the order to see if your pads were shipped. If not, they will be ready on Saturday for pick up at the event.
WILLIAMS CONTINGENCY
At the end of this season, we will be awarding a $250.00 cash prize to one competitor who competed in our Series on Williams brake pads. This will be done by a random draw. All competitors who registered for the brake pad contingency will be eligible provided they competed in this series. As part of the agreement, Williams Performance Friction will contact you via email to fill out a survey / questionnaire on their products.
SERIES REGISTERED PRIZES
The following will be drawn at the end of the event on May 5/07:
Royal Purple Synthetic Oil change - Pure Muscle & Performance, Mississauga
Set of aluminum wheels - YKW Motorsports
Shifter Kart Racing Course - Salmon Shifters
EVERY EVENT GIVE-AWAYS
Royal Purple Synthetic oil change - Pure Muscle & Performance, Mississauga (905 602-1999) 1 oil change per event
Indoor Formula Kartways - first 100 competitors receive a free 5 lap certificate - Formula Kartways, Brampton (905 459-1073) 100 per event
HELMET REQUIREMENTS
This season, the helmet spec is SNELL 2000 or newer. We must check for this rating on your helmets. Please bring them with you at registration. New loaner helmets have been provided by PARKER BROTHERS MOTORSPORTS (Etobicoke). They offer PITL competitors discounted pricing on helmets and accessories.
LUNCH MENU
Lick's will once again be providing the lunch time food. Homeburgers and drinks will be provided. Make sure we take your order and give you a ticket during registration; this avoids not ordering enough food.
*** AGE RESTRICTION ***
The Mazda Club has just signed the 2007 contract for the use of this venue. Unfortunately, it now states that the minimum age for any competitor is 19 years. If anyone has registered that has NOT reached 19 years of age by May 5, 2007 CANNOT compete with us until they reach this age requirement. We will refund your registration fee. We apologize for this late notice.
FUTURE EVENT DATES
Our schedule for 2007:
May 5, May 26, June 10, July 15, Sept 9
PRO SLALOM EVENTS
We are working on 2 Pro Slalom events for this season. Dates and venue to be determined shortly. We are required to wait for the Insurance regulators and CASC to resolve a few issues with this type of competition. We will keep you posted.
Do not hesitate to email the Club with your comments, suggestions (thelimit@rogers.com). Spread the word about our Series, its going to be a great year. Bring your friends, challenge them on the course. Remember to “take it off the streets”, and drive to and from the events responsibly.
Hope to see everyone on May 5.

I've been trying for a month to contact Williams to get a price on matching rear pads for my car without any luck. Via email and left a phone message...no answers. :(

I was at the plant tour and William mentioned that orders were now being fulfilled through Woodbine Acura or through their production partner in Montreal called DEF Auto Group under the brand name SNYPER. DEF's number is 1-888-404-2884 and the contact is Domenic Marateo. I also was having issues but managed to get in touch with Matt at Williams who informed me that the production facilities in Mississauga and Kitchener are no longer taking phone or e-mail orders. Hope this helps you out.
