basicaly

i need a 1-2 paragraph summation of what solo 2 is about so that i can put that down on our solosprint website under the "link to solo 2"

leaving the link to solo 2 as just a simple link makes no sense since no one knows what solo 2 is without it being explained...

so... whoever wants to write something fancy and short about solo 2, send it to me and it will appear on our website.

We should stop calling them Solo 1 and Solo 2 because those names mean nothing unless you know. On the web sites we should call them Solosprint and Autoslalom because those names makes more sense.

I like this idea, a rebranding to Solosprint/Autoslalom, it makes more sense, is easier to explain to outsiders, and will also help to get rid of the perception that one is a higher/lower level then the other.

In the last video I like the Mustang getting the green flag at launch with his passesnger's hand outside the window.

And marshal walking from the pole ... was the Miata less than a car length from him? Was the marshal looking?

But very well done! That last one got me anxious to go dodge some cones.

Adding a video link is a good way of explaining solo II, some people just don't want to read to much.

"was the Miata less than a car length from him? Was the marshal looking?"

no... these guys have a HUGE lot to play on. If they don't re-use their track designs, i may have been there that day. I happened to be in ottawa and found out there was an event that weekend so i dropped by to race. Very good people at MCO, and very cool video!

the cars are FAR from each other, the video doesn't show the deapth well on it for some reason

reading a blurb vs watching a video.. night and day mang...

i'd say it'd attract more interest than reading a blurb

MCO solo II events are top notch, atmosphere, lot size and conditions, and structure

-min 6 runs (as much as 10)
-2nd gear type of course designs
-easy to navigate
-large gates

if you're an old dawg.. and have some ill feelings towards past events

they're nothing of the same from 5years ago

I couldn't agree more with both points. The vid could definately attract interest (hell, its something i'd have expected to see on Speed), and MCO runs great events. I think I had 8 timed runs and about 5 fun runs after.

Maybe the clubs ought to collaborate and produce a good 30 second tv spot that brings attention to the general public. If everyone knew that there was no experience required and helmets to borrow at an event, the lots would fill up quick, and so would club membership.

Definitely the highlight of last years regional series, Fun, Fun, Fun...
