I just want to make sure I'm following the Classification System properly.
I have a 2002 4 cyl. Accord, which would put me in the C3 class.
Right now, its completely stock, but if I add a Sway Bar, I could use the Step-Up Rule to move into C2 instead of Super Stock. Is that correct?

You are exactly right, why not go to CSS and try and dethrone Marsh!

Andrew: You are quite right. With the Leafs behind me, I am much faster! (sort of like adding a Type-R sticker) ;)
Ice/Solo: Thanks!
One more question: I didn't see anywhere in the point schedule about a 'short shifter'. Does anybody know how many points this would cost me? i.e. would I still be able to use the step-up rule or would I automatically be forced to go head-to-head with Marsh. (who knows, maybe I can sneak up behind him and steal that crown of his!!! :p) Not bloody likely

For a short shifter (because I asked this question last year) ...
Modifying the lever is free
Modifying the bushings (linkage) is a point.

If I'm not mistaken the Accord uses a cable shifter, like the Preludes? If so then the short shift kits are free since they only modify the lever. I ran one for one event a few year ago, but removed it because it made me miss shifts constantly.
BTW C3 has a very favourable pax. The lower you stay in C, the better you chances of winning on pax, but the less likely you are of ever having anyone else in your class to race against.

I'm going BSP to get away from the hoards of bss drivers,no I'm not scared of Wes(ok maybe a little bit)Marsh is right in that the lower your classed the better you are,the chance of being propositioned by a lower class can't happen if your the lowest class! So then all you have to do is beat anyone else in the class or beat the family average to get your 100 points,do that and at the end of the year you get the chance to be lucky and use a great backup run to break the tie and snatch that crown from Marsh.(don't tell anyone, but thats my stategy)Unfortunately for me there's some really fast guys allready in BSP,so my chances probably aren't any better by moving up.
If Ryan goes down to B2 than he'll be tough for overall(except if Rob runs that 4 door again)I don't think Ryan's cav. will be a match for Rob's Civic
