At the risk of shooting one's self in the foot....have a look at the attached thread. Some interesting food for thought.

I read most of that 2 months ago, there's excellent information there.

I remember Dennis from the 2004 CDN solo2 Nationals in Sanair.
Neat car... really huge.... and monster Hoosiers.
If you've ever really seen him drive... let me tell you... it's quite something.
You can see how he won all those Pro-Solo events in that monster AWD car.

Why, is he any good?

I've read every book I can get my hands on, on the topic of race car driving, and setup. If I didn't already know how great a driver Dennis is, I'd certainly be able to tell from his writings there.
I particularly like his section: "CAVEAT LECTOR". Having read many books, I've noticed that some of them actually contradict each other. So it's best draw your own conclusions, and do your own testing. Rather than accepting someone else's word as gospel.
His section on FWD is also great. "Nothing says 'triumph of enthusiasm over physics' like a FWD race car." Woo! :D He almost perfectly describes my driving style in that section too. Great minds think alike.

I think there's two camps on that one!
As with anything else, it doesn't hurt to read. Just don't accept everything you read as gospel.

Denis always admitted that he was a better engineer than driver. :D
I have a lot of respect for his words though. Everything he has preached within the DSM community has held true as I slowly model my Talon after his.
