How does one insure your race car when you are towing it? Theft and fire insurance is one thing but I'm concerned some yahoo hits me while I'm towing the car.

Hmmm ... should be covered under your truck insurace if it's attached to it, though I don't know for sure. Where does everyone get their fire/theft insurance from anyway? That place out west?

My policy covers liability when towing, but not the contents of what is being towed.

FYI, your racecar is NOT covered by your homeowners, auto or any other policy. I have checked with many agents and companies. Competition Insurance which someone already posted DOES cover your car other then when it is on the track.

Agreed. Your auto insurance policy covers liability when towing a trailer but it is liability only. What I'm looking for is more or less what Competition Insurance Group offers.

I have ensure with Competition Insurance for the last 3 years. I have $25000.00 coverage for my race car. You will have to get a proper appraiser to do a detailed report that you can send to Competition Insurance and they will insure you for that amount or less if you wish.

Talked to Ralph, he gave me an appraisers name so I just need to get that coordinated.
