Just a reminder. This is coming up soon!
If we get less than 30 pple (which at the current registration rate could be likely), you will get SICK amounts of track time.

How many people are currently registered?

Few enough that you'll not have to worry about passing people even if they were all on the track at the same time.

Well... if you were there, you know what you got. A spectacular day of open lapping at CMP.
If you missed it... wow. Too bad.
25 participants, and a lovely summer day with temps up in the mid 20s, 5.05 km of black top with 20 turns calling out for some fresh tire tracks to be laid upon it.
Because of the low turn out, we had only one run group - and 7 hours of open track. If anybody left the day feel unfulfilled, well, then they did something wrong.
Bruce Gregory was nice enough to join us for the day and show some of us the 'fast way' around CMP when we were lucky enough to find the passenger seat of his GT3 empty. Thanks for the tips Bruce!
There was also some pretty fast gear there, a couple nice mustangs, and a Cadillac CTS-V which was a rocketship.
We had a great time teaching those that had never seen calabogie, and letting those that had seen the track last fall rip it up. With only three passing stretches as per the FIA rules we used the three longest straights up first but they are all basically right following each other so there is a long section of the track that sometimes gets queued up when there are slower cars - but everybody behaved themselves very well. As organizers we rarely needed to discipline anybody for much - the worst infraction was probably hands out the window...
Well... there's likely not going to be too many more lapping days that give the participants 7 hours of open track time anytime soon. But if you want to experience the fun, there still 3 more MCO days left this year. One of them being a noise exempt day leading up to the MCO race weekend - definitely that will be a full house.

Thanks to all of those at MCO for a great event. And a HUGE thanks to Bruce for showing me the 'right line'. I learned more in 15 minutes of chasing Bruce than I ever would have for the rest of the season. Look out McAuley... your track record may have been obliterated. :p
Oh, and I have to apologize for giving you a bit of a dusting Rob during your ride-along with Bruce... a little brain fade towards the end of the day. :D

Not my paint ;) Maybe Bruce's opinion will differ though.
That Mustang looks really sharp out there. Very nicely planted and some nice driving. It was looking pretty haggard there by the end of that session, fast though, and nice save!

Common hazard of getting in too deep on the first event of the season. :p But how could I resist the temptation...??
