After a thorough search on the web, soliciting classes from a variety of series, I hereby present my class name recommendations!
Top Door Slammer (NZ Drags)
Trail Stock (Homer Grass Drags)
Street Rod
Big Dog (for the V8s?)
Super Pro
Pro
Pro Street
Pro Lite
Pro Pane
Super Street
Nostalgia
Sportsman (must contain Ronco Pocket Fisherman)
Street Racer
Street Eliminator
Funny Car
I'll leave it to the CCC to sort these out, but may I suggest alphabetical?

How about selling the class names like hockey teams do with their building names (Air Canada Centre etc).
We could have;
Grey Poupon class (always wanted to get beside a BMW/Porsche/etc on a lapping day, roll down my window and say, pardon me do you have any Grey Poupon)
Kotex Maxi class
Street Preparation H class
Viagra (we drive harder) class
Dewy, Suckem and Howe Solicitors class
Domatrix Escorts class (competitors drive slow because they like being beaten)
Yes I am bored.

this is trouble ;)
Pro Pane class could be quite explosive!
Um, yeah, I think maybe numerical names actually make the most sense for a 'ladder' classification system like they one we've proposed. Everyone knows what number comes before and after their starting class, but knowing your ABC's backwards gets a bit annoying (at least for me). Actual names like 'Grand Touring' and 'Touring' are nice and if we accompany them with a number like 'GT1', 'GT2', and so one it should be pretty easy for people to remember as long as they understand that SGT (Super Grand Touring) is above GT (Grand Touring) which is above Touring. I don't know, maybe just calling them Class 1, 2, 3, 4, etc makes the most sense and will be the easiest for competitors to conceptualize.
But I do want to run in class Pro Pane! If I lose, at least I may have some clean burning fuel left over to cook the hotdogs with...
