I have had these for one and a half season.
They are down to the wear bars and the inner tread of the tire is starting to get bumpy.

I'm just curious how much longer i can use them. I have new V710's but i would like to use the 700's as much as i can. However if i only have 1 or 2 events left on them then i might as well switch the tires.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Piotrov.

Just touching the wear bars - eh
Should be good for another 8+ events.

The new 710s will massively reduce your runtimes IF you don't mind tossing usable 700 skins.

Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs – Ontario Region Autoslalom Rulebook

5.9.7. Tire Condition
When inspected at a scrutineering inspection:
Each tire must have measurable tread depth as described in this provision. Measurable
tread depth must be obtained at two points on the tread, which are 180 degrees apart around
the tire’s circumference, and within the center one-half of the tread surface that normally
touches the ground, and;
The measurement points must be within tread grooves along a longitudinal or perimeter
direction on the tire as typically found on road tires. On slick tires, the measurement points
- 33 - January 1, 2007
must be along a longitudinal or perimeter direction where measurement holes may be
located. (Tread definition, see Section 7.1 7.)
Tires may not be re-grooved or recapped in any way. The Competitor is required to
compete on the inspected tires. Failure to do so shall result in refusal of entry or
disqualification. Tires may not have cord visible at any time during competition, even if
previously approved at scrutineering inspection.

Technically - anything visible is measurable.

You still have a lot of use in the 700s if you wish to keep using them.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
The rule doesn't specify a minimum tread depth... so if you can still see tread, they're still good to go!

You're better off running the new v710's..

I'll take the 700's.. I don't mind :)

Oh and they might be protestable if there is no visible tread somewhere on the tire, but realisticly nobody will protest you unless you are winning a class.
