I was wondering if anyone has used any in car lap timers with any degree of success during lapping days? Maybe something like this? http://www.aimsports.com/products/tg/index.html
It's priced at $249 usd which is pretty tempting

That's a decent chunk of change for very little information.
I decided to spend 4 times more money for 100 times more data.
Instead of just knowing WHAT your lap times are, use something like the G2X to learn WHY, and HOW to become faster.

Carl from TRAC Racing Depot can set you up.

Taylor B. is selling his AIM MyCron light TG $300cdn I believe, should be like new. Hopefully he'll see this......?

I have one, its great. Plus it can provide split times in real time (something the G2X can't do)......I also have a G2X :)

There are a number of us with the AIM unit, thanks to a group buy set up by Chris a few years ago.

One advantage to getting the same unit is that when you get to the track, its likely someone has already set up the transmitters for you. :)

I bought the Traqmate version (http://www.traqmate.com/) and used it at the DDT lapping day. It worked very well (especially when I got home and plotted the day's events and progress on my PC)
