to tell you the truth... i was looking forward to doing 7 of 12 events this year.
but now im a bit skeptical....
i dont know if i can afford it, or do the drives.
i can only go on sundays, which is okay because it equals to 7 events which is the minimum.
how much is it per event? i know its like 250ish per weekend, but can i only go on sundays? what time do i have to be there?

Andrew,
You don't have to sign up for the weekend. You can sign up only for a Saturday or only for a Sunday if you wish.
As for what time to show up at, well that depends on how much you like to rush and how much time you need to prep.
In the morning you have to register (which closes at 8:30 sharp) and you need to get your car registered, put on the decals, change wheels/tires, adjust tire pressure, etc. I would say that you would need to be there no later than 8:00.

so if registration ends at 8:30, what time does the driving typically begin?

Put on decals? I don't like the sounds of that.:( How do they stick?

Magnetic Vinyl.
Mad Macs, one of our sponsors, sells sheets of magnetic vinyl. Perry: Will you have some for sale at the Open House?
Come to the Open House, pick up your decals, get a sheet from our sponsor, or any graphics suppy place. Stick on the decals, use a metal ruler and utility knife to cut up the sheet, and they easily go on and off your car.
Store them on the beer fridge in the garage to keep them nice and flat between events.

Good. They have to be easily removable. Don't need the cops pulling me over on the way home, ya know.;)
I need some numbers, too. How do you guys choose numbers? Pick something and hope nobody else is using it?
Oops, just saw the list on the SOLO I section.

If all goes well, you can get some early morning lapping usually by 9:00. The trick is to have your car ready early so that you can park it in line for lapping. Otherwise, you'll be at the tail end of it and only get a like 3 laps before everything shuts down to start the competition.

Drive out on Saturday evening if you can and camp out with the HADA goons. It's good cheap fun and you'll be ready at the track Sunday AM.

Yeah well... I still don't have my car OR my new bike.
If I don't have both by mid-april, I may become an obit statistic.
