I wonder how much more HP to peel this tire off the rim? (see attached close-up of said tortured left rear tire.)

Not just the tire but holly smokes thats a clear picture.
That's freakin neat.. That tire had 38 Psi in there, and it looks like it's about to fall off the rim.

I was fortunate enough to get a ride in the 'REAL' mini...it is a kick-ass car! The last ride I had in a mini was 35 yrs ago with my friends mum at the wheel. A slightly different ride this time.:D
