I just noticed that this web site is up to date, including 2003 CNAC rules:

Are you planning to go?

For those wondering, it's just over 3000km and 48 hours from GTA.

I will not be going. Basically I'm bothered at the location (which apparently is exchanged back and forth between Summerside, PEI and Red Deer).

I was of the understanding that the Barrie guys were working on trying to get the Nationals. Guess that didn't happen.

Anyhow based on the rumors of what's going on in BC with grassroots and the fact that Red Deer is about 500kms from the US border and can't possibly have the kind of turnout an event in Upper Canada (Toronto or Montreal) could (probably can't match Slemon last year) I think it would be a total waste of time to make the trek.

If the Canadian Nationals actually meant something to the extent that SCCA Nationals did then it'd be a different story. As it is, this is a single event which you don't even have to qualify for. And the reality is, in some classes, if you show up you're the Canadian Champion for that class. Whoopdie doo.

Not sure of the "lot" they use at Red Deer. But Slemons was quite large. Last years was designed by a guy out of Texas? who has designed a number of SCCA Nationals courses. Still.. the turnout was less than a typical PITL Event.
