Anyone feeling to need to get their butt kicked by a HADA member is more than welcome to join us :D

Seriously though - anyone with the correct entry fee, a road worthy vehicle and a helmet is allowed to enter the event.

Just noticed the comment regarding HADA'S requirment of a "road worthy vehicle" does this mean that I can only compete if the vehicle is licensed and insured?
If so just wondering the logic behind this, once I/anyone sign's the waiver than our road going insurance is void for competing in a motorsports event. And as long as my vehicle is sound, brakes funtion, wheels won't fall off, fuel's not leaking on the ground etc, than can I compete?
Just looking for the scoupe before deciding on attending, hate to tow 2.5hrs(1 way)to be told I couldn't run.

By road worthy we mean it'll pass a tech inspection. But trailer queens are welcome!

We will be posting details about the event shortly, and we will have a flyer advertising the event at the Open House this sunday.

Cheers,
Dave

What if my car has a crack in the windsheild?

Not to revisit the insurance fiasco thread, but if your vehicle isn't insured, what happens to the owner/driver of the vehicle if someone was injured by the car?

Is the driver/owner personally resposible for liability?

Just curious.

Ryan, I believe a cracked windshield is grounds for technical inspection failure, at least it is at the Solo 1 level. Wes or Robb could tell you if this applies to Solo 2 as well.

Theo, as the host club we are insured such that any liability on our behalf is covered. That's really our only concern. If a competitor chooses to run without proper insurance in place, he/she is accepting the risk this implies and I suppose if something nasty went down they could indeed be held personally liable. I would hope that trailered cars are covered for liability/fire/theft since all of these remain possibilities even though they're no longer road going vehicles.

For the record my corolla ain't no trailer queen-its a garage queen(I have 1 garage space and its in it!)besides how many true trailer queen gets the living s**t drove out of it every time its backed off the trailer?.
I might attend as a heat cycle new tires, test new set-up and shake the cobwebs off the driver day.
Oh yeah,I looked over the solo 2 rules and couldn't find anything the specified an uncracked windshield.

Cracked windshield = 2 prep points

It's in the B.S. section of the rule book.

I think part of my duties as the tech guy should be checking things like ohhh umm say tire pressures-I think I'll start with adjusting yours first Ryan! The funny thing is you won't know if and when or even which end of the car I might work on first!
That outa slow the stock chevy down,oh yeah my # is 13
