Okay folks, there are a couple of small changes to registration this year. Sorry, no web-based system yet, but we (I) hope that's coming soon. The forms will be posted here in the next 24 hours.

First, there will be no price increase. The basic price of an event stays at $110.

To encourage appropriate behaviour, we are also offering an incentive. If you come to the Open House, and pay for all events up front, the price drops to $100 per event. If you live more than 150kms away, you can mail or fax in your registration forms and still qualify for the discount as long as we receive them by April 20. But we really would prefer to see you out at CSC Racing in Newmarket!

We still like post-dated cheques. If you use this option, please bring lots of cheques - one for each weekend. Please make them out for $110 or $220 depending on how many days you run that weekend.

We don't like credit cards. There is a $5 fee for each event paid with a credit card. Like last year, you must pay for all events up front if you use a credit card (no post-dated credit card payments).

We really don't like last minute registration changes. There will be a $20 late registration fee for signing up less than 10 days prior to a weekend. This is the same as last year. Unlike last year, the $20 late registration fee will also apply if you change vehicle, class, or driver within 10 days of an event. So if you've registered, but have made some mods to your car, get a revised PIP schedule in 10 days prior to the event, and there will be no penalty.

We absolutely detest refunds, so we will no longer be offering 1/2 back refunds for cancelations made 5-10 days before an event. Please let us know early, and we'll get you a full refund.

Hard Luck Refunds can still be had if you have car trouble on Saturday, and can't run on Sunday. We will refund your Sunday fees with the hopes you'll invest the funds in your car and be back for the next event!

See you Sunday at CSC,

Rob - noting that you detest refunds, what is the deadline for full refunds - how far in advance?

10 days prior to the event - you'll see the cut-off date on the registration form.

If you've prepaid for an event, you get a full refund if you let me know prior to the cut-off date. If you've paid by post dated cheque, we simply tear up your cheque.

Rob,

I'm confused about the Open House special price. Your post suggests that one must pay for the events up front (ie at the Open House, no postdated cheques) in order to get the $100 special price but the Registration Procedure PDF on the Solo Ontario web site does not say that. It just say that you have to pre-register at the Open House.

In my mind, pre-register is not the same as pre-pay.

Me confused.

Of course you are correct - the form isn't clear.

The intent is that to take advantage of the Open House Special, you've got to pre-pay.
