We have made the following revisions to the 'Suspension & Running Gear' PIP schedule which will appear in the print version of the rulebook available for all at the Open House:
Add:
"5.13.5 The panhard rod may be modified on those cars originally equipped with one."
Change Section 6.2.5 to:
"Modification to the OE suspension springs, including non OE ride height (e.g. coilover systems permitted); excluding section 6.2.3, non-stock alignment. 4 PIP
NOTE: Installation of alignment adjustable devices, as described in section 6.2.3, are permitted for the sole purpose of setting alignment to within OE specifications"
Delete Section 6.2.6 and the 'Note:' requiring the necessity of declaring 7 PIPs if you upgrade both shocks and springs.
Renumber the sections 6.2.7 through 6.2.11 to 6.2.6 through 6.2.10
What this effectively means is that we've done away with the mandatory 7 PIP shocks/springs/non-stock alignment category in order to give competitors a bit more prep flexibility. Our hope is that this will allow a few more competitors to run their car in the class they find most appealing and cost-effective.
Cheers,
Dave
