Sorry Dirty, wrong colour and wrong gen, but that spoiler looks just about RIGHT! Actually, that car looks like Jay's with a bit of cheap white paint and madd skillz brake lights thrown on it as cheaply as possible. FuN!

I'd say something about getting a real car, but since I've turned to the dark side, I'd only be dissin' myself.

Hey, remember when you were cool? (though a little slower) I hear you have mad single overhead cam powaz this year.

The good old days! Brings a tear to my eyes seeing the 'Lude with r-compounds on it :p

And yes, I am going to be running a D16Z6 for at least a couple of seasons. Moose and I are building our own shortblocks with high compression pistons in the next few weeks (Rick from RT is teaching us). This way we can blow up as many engines as we want and the cost will be far more reasonable than with the B-series engines I had been running the last few years. D-series blocks are dirty cheap (no pun intended) and it has been a ton of fun doing all the work ourselves. We did a DIY port and polish of our cylinder heads, we did block teardown with Rick and learned how to code out all the bearings, identify various types of engine wear, etc. It's been a great learning experience, for sure. Long-term we believe we can get our little D16Z's to put out 160whp or more with the right parts and proper ECU tuning. But for now I'll be running a stock D16Z to keep costs down. Eventually I may even turn to the darkside and do a D16 turbo build!

Are you going to bring the Rex out for some Solo 1 or 2 action this year?

Damn, I never see you at Rick's. If you're there on a Friday, or Saturday, let me know.

I'll probably be putting in the B16 motor and rebuilding the D16 motor myself for a backup motor. There is definite plans to turbo the B16 and I'll be putting in a standalone right away. Probably another E6k. I found the CRX is going to need more body work than I anticipated, and since I have such limited time to work on it I doubt the car will be ready to roll until late season. I'll stop by the Open House this Sunday just to take a look around, anyway.

I might bring out the Prelude beast to some lapping days, but with so much power and stock springs/shocks, it's a loose cannon. I'm sure it'll still put you in your place.

bring on the Lude! How much power is it making these days anyway? It seemed to spend a lot of time at Rick's this winter, unless that was somebody elses dirty black Prelude :)

See you sunday,
Dave

It went through two engine rebuilds in the Winter. First time, two of the sleeves dropped, dumping all my coolant into the crankcase.

Isn't it beautiful?:

I suspect it's putting down at least 350 to the wheels at 1bar. I don't plan to boost any more than that, since it's been relegated to street duty and I want it reliable. I haven't put it on a dyno, yet, and I'm not all that interested in it, since I'm not trying to pull every last bit of power out of it. I'll put it on sometime, just to see what it's putting down.

I'll bring it on Sunday.

dropped two sleeves? Youch...what caused that? 350whp sounds pretty nice to me. Have any traction problems? :P

Bastid! That's all I got is traction problems. The highway is fun, but flooring it in 1st or 2nd is just silly. I need to setup the AVC-R for gear based boost.

Really the only thing you can attribute sleeves dropping to is improper installation. Rick delt with L&B and pulled it a apart and got it resleeved, again. Rick is definitely the man. They also made a few other modification that I would have liked on the original sleeves.

Glad Rick took good care of you. He's been extremely generous with his time and expertise with all the HADA guys too. If he was a woman, I'd make him mine! ;)
