Ick! There was a substantial amount of shit raised a couple of years ago about the quality of food at SoloSprint weekends. Please don't make that monster rear it's ugly head again........

It's not that I don't like Pizza, it's more a matter of making the food a worth while part of a SoloSprint weekend. I don't expect steak and potatoes, although I sure wouldn't complain if someone served me up a big slab of medium rare luscious steak, but a step up from pizza, wings or bulk store bought beef patties (full of grizzle and chewy unmentionables) would be appreciated. :)

You'd be surprised the meal that can be put together for $500 and feed 100 hungry competitors (with a weeks worth of leftovers to the lucky husband....) with the right "caterer".:)

I highly doubt it would survive the trip in my stiffly sprung Civic, if it would even fit in.....

That's the problem a lot of us are having and we're not finding volunteers.
So you'd prefer no food to pizza, wings and subs?

I'd prefer if lunch was provided, instead of dinner.
I don't have a problem with the food selection. Its hard to choose something quick, cheap, and easy to get to/prepare at the track.
*thinking out loud*: is subway catering within budget constraints? I think that worked out well at the Mosport solosprint school...
- back on topic, unfortunately I don't have a BBQ to offer... :(

Well there is always the Chinese Cowboy place!
(sorry ... no BBQ, but I have lots of fire wood!)

Steve it really doesn't matter to me......
I can relate the the volunteers stuff. I made a promise to myself that I would not organize anything this year. I personally needed a year (or fifty) with no responsibilities (and no bullshit, but the bullshit came regardless)......
