Here are my suggestions for the classing of Mazda Proteges .. of course this would only be good for 2003 if we are movnig to CNAC rules which use SCCA groupings. This applies only for 3rd generation Proteges, 1999-2003.

BSS - Mazdaspeed Protege (2.0L turbo)
B1 - MP3 (2.0L)
B2 - Protege5/ES (2.0L), Protege 1.8L
B3 - Protege 1.6L

That move the 2.0L protege down one class vs. where it was placed last year. *shrug* It could probably be left in B1 for the year unless lots of people show up with them and prove that the class is wrong. :o

Yea, I'm not quite sure why a Protege with aftermarket springs, shocks, and exhaust is supposed to be slower than stock SiR? Although I'm not personally looking forward to new rules next year, it is the definitely time to do it.

Oh and don't forget the protege comes with aftermarket sway bars as well,if memory serves me correctly didn't the mp3/turbo post the fastest speed in a slalom out of pretty much anything?
In case nobody noticed-solo 2 is pretty much a slalom kinda sport isn't it?food for thought.

Robb responded to my question about classing my Mazdaspeed.
BSS with two prep points max.
I agree with Rowan on the others though.
