Just wanted to post a quick note to say how much I enjoyed racing with you guys yesterday (I was driving the not so quiet RX-7!) You guys race very competitively and clean! The 2nd 20 minute race flew by as I was wheel to wheel with the red BMW and a couple of red 944's! It was a great day and thank you again, hope to be out with you guys again soon!

I'd like to second what Alan said, its was my first race weekend this year. The G70 group ran competitive and clean all weekend and proved driver attitude is key with the high speed differentials. Due to a fuel miscalculation :o I ran out going up the back straight on the last lap of the second race.
It made it way more exciting to start from the middle of the pack and work my way to the front. The marshals did a great job with the blue flags and I just picked my spots to pass carefully. The same couldnt be said for the #104 Mazda RX-7 that joined us for the last race.
After dive bombing me on the inside at turn 5a he went two wheels onto the grass. I went wide to avoid being sideswipped, then watched him lose it again on the exit of 5b trying to put the power down. Great display of car control, needless to say I wasnt suprised to see him in the tire wall at 8 a short time later. Safe to say I dont think he'll be invited back anytime soon.
A Big thanks to my Crew Chief, the Big Cat ran flawlessly all weekend.

Hi Steve,
Great to see you out again! (such a beautiful car) So sorry to hear you ran out of gas on the last lap (eeps!) I was wondering what happened...
I unfortunately couldn't join you guys on Sunday (thought I had mechanical issues) - but definitely ready for the last race of the year...
Diane.

Hi Diane,
Thanks it was nice to be back out, I feel honoured to race such a historically significant piece of motorsports history. Jaguar Cars at the time refered to the car as "Thundering Ellegance" in the Ads run during the 1981 Trans Am Championship.
Yes running outta gas on the last lap was embarrasing, especially when you look at the size of the Daytona 24hrs fuel cell in the car lol.
We ran last weekend at the Glen, sadly the Sunday Feature race got rained out. We had chased a Loose condition all weekend, but sorted it out for the race. With the BMW M1's, Porsche 935, Ferrari Boxer, our Jaguar and some American Muscle, Group 10 resembled the IMSA fields of the 80's.
See ya at Celebration
