Contingency Awards

Does anyone know of any contingency awards offered for competition in Canada? It would be nice to have a chance to cut some costs on consumables like tires, brake pads, and FUEL!! SCCA competitors have a shot at items such as tires, but is this happening up here too?

Tyson, we do indeed have contingency programs. Kumho sponsors the series with one $250 coupon per weekend awarded to a competitor using Kumhos as their race tire. This coupon is awarded via a draw done at the track on Sunday after the event.

Similarly, Yokohama (if they're on board this year) gives away one set of tires every Solo 1 weekend, raffled off in the same way as the Kumho coupon. Again, you must compete in Yoks to be eligible to win the tires.

In the past we've also had coupons for discounts on brake pads and other products. I'm not sure what's on the table this year, other than the tire coupons. I believe Sunoco will be supplying us with gas coupons to award to competitors this year, but I'm not 100% sure of that yet.

The gas coupons would be nice. My car is a pig.:(
