I don't know if it's a record or not, but the first marshal change at SMP Sunday took 12 minutes and 1 second from the checker of the last car to the green of the first car in the next run group.
The afternoon one took 14.5 minutes but we had a faulty radio at Station 2, so that accounted for most of the added time.:(
Congratulations to all of the marshals who made this possible.
It also meant we not only had a lunch break but we also got a bit of free lapping at the end of the day.
Nice work people!

Glad we could make your life easier, Gerry!! :D
BTW, did anyone, or will anyone, tally up all of the top speeds we recorded from the Fabi straight, and post them up for all to view??? I hope our paper-towel sheet was legible enough!!! :p I'm just curious who took FSD (fastest SPEED of the day) ... the highest speed I heard of was a 186?? Also a 184 ........ and at least a couple ~180's! ..... not sure if anyone topped the 186?

I left them at home.
I do believe I only have the paper towel speeds and the sheet from the last session. I will try and remember to grab them tonight and hopefully should be able to scan them (yes, even the paper towel) for posting.
It's amazing how you can get peoples attention when they are threatened to be excluded from the event or have their ftd removed for not properly displaying numbers and classes on their cars or being tardy reporting for marshaling duty.:)

I was a consistent 180 to 181 from what they told me at track exit. Brad in the Corvette had a 189 on his first session. So roughly, 4.5% higher trap speed.
I want JDM 5th and 6th ratios. :( These fuel economy ratios suck on the fast tracks.

That was one of the cars that I was curious about, as I know that Rick's C5 ran 186. How about Ron's Super 7 ... I wonder how fast that little rocket was going down the straightaway?!?!

i was at the radar station for the last session. 187 was the fastest is saw, and i think it was either Smiley or the Locost. Fastest FWD was Mark with 183.

Thanks David. I was pretty happy with a 183. Took me a while to build up the courage to go full out and trailbrake into that turn. Thanks Miles :D

I finally managed a respectable 177kmh. But it did nothing to improve my laps times. Gonna tame that beast someday. ;)
