Outstanding news. PEI is a great place to visit so it will be a great event on it's own.

Any word on the date? My wife has been bugging me to go out east for a while. This would be a great reason to finally go.

Hey, you guys haven't posted anything on our board in Winnipeg, do you assume that it's too far and we won't attend?

Chances are lower if you don't invite us! ;) :D

I love that Airport strip.

here is a video I shot of when I competed there in 2005...

Click here (http://www.drummondmotorsports.com/One-Lap-Of-Canada/video/day1_run2_pei.mpg)

it's a little chopping but it's a 100 second course... in second gear .. kinda nice.

So, it's 2008 already! When is the registration going to open? :D

I'll be booking my room tomorrow...

Also, any grumblings about when the CAC '08 Rules will be issued?

The website appears to be up.

On a side note, I haven't seen much talk about the CAC on the Winnipeg forum. They're usually up for road trips me thinks. <nudge to ARMS>:)

I haven't booked yet but that'll be happening tomorrow! Finally got my vacation plan sorted.

I'll be heading out with the gf on the 22nd to do some vacationing in the area before the event. We'll be at the hotel from Friday night until Monday. Heading back west on Tuesday.

This way we get the vacation done before the event in case an axle decides to break!

Anybody in PEI, NS, or NB, willing to hang on to my tires from the 22nd until just before the event? I doubt they want to see the Cabot Trail or Bay of Fundy.:)

For those that are going, I am going and have made reservations at the Slemon Park Conference Center.Wedo get a deal, just mention MMC,the Moncton Motorsport Club and the event and you will get there price for the room. I plan to leave on the Tuesday afternoon and will be driving through the states if anyone wishes to caravan along and take in a bit of a tour on the way. I will have my enclosed trailer, soiwon't be breaking any speed records!

Looking forward to it!:D Should be a great event!

Got a new poster for the event. There's quite a bit of information on the event web site:

http://www.nationalautoslalom.ca.

You can register on-line or there are forms you can print out and mail in on the web site. The event has always been a great event and we're looking to make it even better this year.

most people are at Slemon Park hotel, but they have long been sold out.

On the CADL forum, there is another hotel of choice where many others are going including SCCA peeps.

Sorry Trung- ITR, 6 wheels, baggage for 2, tools and equipement...we are loaded!!

I may have room... plenty of room... the fam hasn't made up their mind if they are coming or not.

I'll let you know.

I'll be heading down this year as well! The family however, would also like to come down and there is NO way we can do it with the wheels and tires in a 240!

I'm willing to pay for (4)tires transportation to and from the event so that I can bring the wife and kids as well!

We'll be heading down from Mississauga, Ontario.

Thanks,

Trung

The Loyalist is a nice place. It's in downtown Summerside. I haven't been to the Quality Inn, it's just outside of downtown Summerside and a bit further from Slemon Park, but I hear it's nice. The Linkletter Inn is downtown, a bit closer to Slemon Park. Personally, I don't know if I'd stay there, but that's from my impression of the place when I lived there a few years back. The Econo Lodge is the closest to Slemon Park. It's just a short hop down the road from the Park entrance. I have no idea what it's like inside.

Hi guys:

Sounds like it should be fun, so this old fellow is going to be brave and
venture away from the "SoloSprint" playground to Atlantic Canada's Ocean
playgrounds and have some fun on the AutoCross circuit. Just need to slow
down a little and keep the V-8 Porsche between the cones; and then learn
to go fast !! Should be a great time, and let's Pray for great weather.
