lease Drive Clean

A buddy is considring buying his leased car. The dealer has told him he would have to do a Drive Clean.

Why would this not be the responsibiliy of the dealer?

also the reg. owner doesn't need to do an e-test to sell the car


unless its part of the deal the buyer is usually repsponsible for:
-etest
-safety cert
-taxes
-registration

Yeap, the purchaser is responsible for the Drive Clean and Safety, unless like Dave said, it's part of the deal.

Since it's at the end of the lease, the dealer has no incentive to do these.
