I would buy the 18V DeWalt one. I own one, and it has taken off an axle nut. The gun is supposedly good for 300ft/lbs, but I doubt it is that high.

Just call the number in the phone book, and they should hook you up with the local dealer. (The dealers are all in the Snap-on trucks that you see, once you make phone contact you meet up with them somewhere and buy from the truck.)
I have a deWalt as well. Good size, even somewhat water-resistant :o
Unfortunatley I know more about cordless impact tools than I wish I knew.
The Canadian Tire Maximum 3KO is not bad for doing up wheel nuts to approx 90 ft.lbs. It has a hard time undoing nuts torqued with a torque wrench to
100 ft.lbs.
Snap-On supply or used to supply several different cordless impact wrenches. In hindsight I shouldn't have bought the one I did. (that's why I have the CTC one)
In new hindsight the 18V DeWalt seems superior to any of the 2 I currently have and now I "want" 1 of those. Hard to find not as part of a multi tool kit.
I have the business card for a Snap On dealer who services shops in the Dufferin and Wilson area if you are interested.
The Snap On store at Sherway Mall is gone and I don't know of any others.
CTC have recently had their 110 V electric impact wrench on a BIG sale.

:) There is a Dewalt depot on Dundas in Mississauga that has new and refurbished units for sale they give full !yr warranty on all refurbs, also they have a program for rebuilding Dewalt,Porter wagner, Black & Decker, and makita, it cost $98. guaranteed repair, thye rebuilt my grinder and put new cord, gears, brushes and replaced the rear housing, and supplied the guard for the disc, not bad considering the new grinder cost over triple the repair, and the only difference is mine has the original front housing.
They are located between Dixie and the 427, on the southside, very near Dixie, almost across from Parts Sourse.:)

I have the Dewalt 18V impact gun, and it works great... Originally I had a warrenty exchange on it, the original unit was very low on power, but the customer service was great. A friend of mine has the snapon gun, and it does have more power, it took off an axle bolt about 5 seconds faster than my dewalt tool. The biggest complaint I have with the dewalt is the retaining mechanism on the 1/2" drive, it locks the socket in, and requires another tool to release the socket when you want to take it off.

Cdn tire at Albion and Kipling has the 3k0 on sale for $89. I just bought one today. 2 batteries, case and a couple of assorted bits. Definitely not the most powerful, but it seems to be doing the job for the price.

I have that one, it took off a crank pulley before. Its about as strong as a weak air powered gun.

I think above DEK said it was closed now :)
Hey people this has been very helpful topic....honestly I was looking for the dewalt....but have no idea where to find it....they don't sell these at homedepot so I'll look at the Dewalt depot AFB Race mentioned
I know the prices on the Dewalt were ranging from $350-450 which is still pretty pricy , that is why I was thinking might as well go with the snapon.
Not really sure now.
I need it for taking off everything but lugnuts lol.....crank pully bolts and axle nuts ...even the big main shaft nut in the transmission of a honda would be nice lol :D
Thanks :)
