Many of you will recall John Cordts, a talented Canadian driver in the Can-Am and Trans-Am series' of the 60s and 70s.
He has recently published his own autobiography and available for sale though me. The cost is a very modest CDN$20 plus shipping. This is not a fancy hardcover book, rather a small "pocketbook" version published by Johnny himself and offers a candid version of his racing adventures and his later life as a woodcarver. These are signed by Johnny himself.
Send me a PM if interested or e-mail prodwell (at) sympatico (dot) ca. I can accept money orders and Paypal.
Thanks!

In keeping with Christmas coming, thought I'd give this one a little bump.
The first 50 books sold in two weeks, and I just received another 125 today in time for Christmas.
There's still plenty of time to get one before the holidays!
I can be e-mailed at prodwell (at) sympatico (dot) ca or send me a PM.
Thanks!
Peter

Just received some more books from John if there's anyone else out there still interested in a copy; they have been selling very well, thanks to the forums, word-of-mouth and the ad in the Toronto Star in Dec./07. You can send a PM or e-mail to prodwell(at)sympatico(dot)ca
Many thanks

I recommend this book to everyone. It's not a long read, but it's a nice chatty style with lot's of information and some photos, and shows the challenges of being a Canadian pro racer from the mid '60s to the early '70s. Buy this book! :D

Thanks John, your comments sentiment the repsonses I've had from others as well. It truly is a remarkable story he tells.
JC informed me the other day he's arranging to have further copies printed very soon, as the batch I currently have is all that has been printed so far.

I spoke to John, and regretfully he's unable to make the VARAC weekend. I know he relished the idea of seeing the big cars again but just can't make it at this time. He's still hoping to make a trek across one of these years as it's been in few since he was this far east.
I do have some more signed copies of his book available, a great read and deal for twenty bucks.

I have just finished the book. What a great read. If you have half an interest in Canadian racing history, it is a must read!

I'll be at the VARAC festival with more signed books on offer- just look for us at the VARAC booth. Again, only 20 bucks for a great read- just check out some of the other comments above.
See everyone there!

I should have about 200 copies. If you're there on Friday night VARAC has 15 copies already. If they go quick, I'll be sure to keep one aside for you.

On Friday I'm not sure....try to find John Greenwood (festival organizer, VARAC Prez, a "wee Scot" from what I recall), he'll have the first 15 copies. Saturday/Sunday we'll be at the VARAC booth (beside the restaurant apparently) at various periods.
