Hi Gang:
I know the Honda, Mustang and Subaru contingent are unrelenting in their promotion of their favourite brand, so here's a little piece of info from MazdaSpeed:

Now that the 2007 racing season has concluded, I want to thank each of you for your efforts this year. The results speak for themselves:

* Five SCCA Runoffs Championships
* Four NASA National Championships
* 14 SCCA Solo Championships
* Two NASA Time Trial Championships
* SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring Car - Manufacturers Championship
* SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring Car - Drivers Championship
* SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring Car - Crew of the Year
* Additional race wins in GrandAm GT NHRA Sport Compact Drags
* Strong support of our ladder program in karting, Skip Barber, Star Mazda, and Atlantic, plus our MX-5 Cup series.

And only a few of these have rotary engines;) Gerry

I knew there must be some pedigree when the little MS3 was harassing a Z06 at Edmonton's (only) (short) road course this summer. :D

What's with the launch pads (hay bales) on that course?

I thought that practice died out decades ago!!! :eek:

It's Alberta - that's to clean up after the horsies.

Hopefully it continues as Mazda is none too pleased at the SCCA board of directors and might pull their support. They've sent around a survey gauging racers interest in moving from the SCCA to NASA.

Either way their support to racers is awesome, I can call them up for free tech support and purchase stock and aftermarket parts at a reduced cost shipped to your door.

The carriage derby had just wrapped up that morning. :p

Actually, it's 99% a shifter kart and motorcycle course. It is seldom used (and under duress) as a car circuit. Although it is 1.8km and entertaining (much like DDT).
