Wow, another huge event! We had 54 cars in attendance for todays Spring Slalom event. A record since I joined WOSCA (surpassing even our last regional)! We would like to thank everyone for their patience with our handling of such large turnouts. Obviously we didn't expect this number of competitors when scheduling the events. We will be making a few logistics changes, such as earlier start times, in the up-coming summer series. We also have been blessed with many new members over the last 2 years that have been putting forth a great effort organizing events. While this means that there has been some teething with rookie organizers, it also means that we are developing a wealth of dedicated and experieced Solo-2 people to ensure lots of great events to come. On that note thanks and congratulations to Bruce Elliotte for his first organizing effort. I understand it was a hit.
Without further adue here are the event results for the May 4th event:

Congratulations to Tony Kloosterman, for his first WOSCA win on dry pavement, and to Pat Yorke for once again dominating the FTD list.
Our next event will of course be the May Waterfordhill Lapping day! Don't miss out, this might be the last time WOSCA hosts a lapping day at Waterford. The reason is finances, so if you come and prove there is demand enough to pay for the track, we'll keep holding the event.
Also, don't forget that the first WOSCA Summer Series event will be the same day as the first regional in Picton, May 25th. So for the other Western Ontario people that won't be making the drive, you can still come blow out some cob webs with us. Good luck to St. LAC and all the regional competitors making the trek out east. Event details will be posted to the WOSCA website very soon. If you would like to receive an email notice when details become available (and don't already receive our emails) please email me at wosca@hotmail.com .
Also don't forget that this Wednessday is our regular monthly meeting at McGuinness landing. 8pm, don't be late.
Until then, Shiny Side Up!
