View Full Version : Any Idea On How Much Horsepower This Injector Set Up Can Handle?
I HAVE FOUR 310CC INJECTORS THAT RUN THE ENGINE NORMALLY....BUT I FEAR THE MAF WILL NOT SENSE OR BE ABLE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE 10PSI BOOST SO THEY MAY JUST SQUIRT WHAT THEY ALWAYS HAVE?...AND I HAVE 2 AUX 480CC INJECTORS THAT WILL SUPPLIMENT THE FUEL SYSTEM THAT SENSE BOOST AND COME ON IN PROPORTION TO RPM AS WELL......
HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER COULD THIS SET UP SUPPORT?
DOES ANYONE KNOW?
A TOTAL OF 2200CC'S WORTH OF FUEL INJECTORS

Hmm. This is a hard one to figure out. Do you know what the MAF's maximum airflow accuracy is? A lot of MAFs don't output additional mV after a certain amount, or they become inaccurate.
How many pounds of fuel does 2200CC move? 36#?
no clue? i would think that i could compensate for at least +10% airflow

I would think you would need a picky back computer at the least to modify your MAF signal. An Apexi S-AFC is an excellent device for doing this. Its real easy to use and will adjust the MAF readings to the ECU per RPM range. It also has a hi and low throttle position programs but it has no boost reference. About $550. I'm sure you will be installing A/F and EGT gauges. You have over 600cc combined..thats good for 400 hp.
well...what i can do...is... use the aux injectors(960cc total) until they cannot flow anymore fuel...then worry about if the ECU can be fooled into allowing the stock injectors to flow more fuel....that will work fine since off boost the engine will run like normal...then on boost the aux injectors will just kick in...
