Not at all.

You can register at the track at 7:30am on Sunday. I'm still taking applications for the Solo School on Saturday, and the price includes 2 competitive events.

To speed up registration, you can fax me your forms or email me with the details. The key one (that will take some time to fill out) is the Car Classification form, so please take a look at that before coming to the track!

We currently have lots of room available, so that means lots of track time. The weather will be great, and we'll have a TV crew out shooting an episode of a new TSN series - High Intake TV.

Looking forward to seeing you at the track!

could you possibly explain to me how solo1 works?

my only track experience is one lapping day at the DDT (3 weeks ago) and the 2002 soloII shootout.

the basics please...

- when is it your turn
- how long
- marshalling
- etc...

thanks!

Are you sure you don't want to do the school on Saturday?

We cover all that in addition to Car Control and Performance Driving!

Andrew, the answer to your question about how Solo 1 works could lead one to write a mini novel. However, I'll answer the basics for you.

1. You show up in the morning and register.
2. Your car get's tech'ed by a volunteer to make sure that it's safe
3. There's morning lapping
4. A driver's meeting is held where the rules are reiterated, meaning of flags is reiterated, etc. Then they announce what run group everyone belongs to. You are also told when your group has to marshal.
5. The competiton starts
6. During the day, announcements are made on the PA calling out for the various groups to either run on the track or go marshal.
7. At the end of the event, there is evening lapping if time permits.
8. There is a end of day driver's meeting where the results are read out.

If you've done the Solo II shootout, you're 95% of the way there.
