We are going to continue to offer a special package for walk-in competitors again this year!
This is the same offer as last year, where a walk-in first time competitor will have the late registration fee waived, and will only require a $10 weekend CASC Licence.
This means that someone trying out the sport can come on Sunday and pay only $120 to run for the day, avoiding club membership ($65), CASC Basic License ($50), and event fee ($130).
Please note that the next time the participant comes out, they will require a CASC Basic License.
This is a great way to get into Solo if you have been considering it, but were unsure of your schedule.
You can do all registration at the track, or get me your forms ahead of time, and simply pay at the track.

Hi.
Am I correct in assuming this deal is available at all the events, and not just the first one? (once only per person, of course).
There's no Solo2 in Ottawa until the Senators win the Stanley Cup :D , so I have to do something ... and I just lowered my car back down to stock ride height.
Thanks,
Craig
-If I read the rules right, I'm in GT3 if I wear Nomex :p
(I can't believe modifying an exterior badge and changing the lights on my car is worth a PIP, but hey...)

Craig, come out and run in GT2. Surely your Porsche is faster than my little Miata. (We need an innocent "I couldn't possibly be baiting you" smiley)
BTW if everyone shows there should be a good MCO turnout this weekend.

Bah.
Lessee now. We have Jeff, who's been doing a whole bunch of Solo1's the past few years, and me, who has done one (1) Solo1 in his life, five years ago, spinning out twice, and finishing last in class. Thus, if the Porsche is faster (PAX'd of course), then, the, ah, linear classification system must be the reason. :p
I was thinking of waking up at some ridiculous hour in the morning and driving down for a day, probably Sunday. I haven't had time to work on the motorhome to get it running (and the plumbing working, and the furnace working, and finding a wiring short).
Oh... BTW... Nomex makes you faster. :D

Wish I was going, but I have a back yard to dig up :( . But alas, it's supposed to rain, and I STILL haven't got my new rims and tires, so maybe I'm not missing much :)

Yup, unless we get 20 more people registered for each event. We're averaging about 40 people per event, and we need 55 to make this series viable. We had good uptake on the special offer last year, so we're hoping that some good word-of-mouth will encourage people to come out this year.
