I just received the dates-real nice that both of those event are on regional weekends!!.I allready let dave know that I won't be attending either of those dates,to say I'm not impressed is an understatement.I only joined TLMC for casc license requirmentsand and because of the great lot you used to have-I've been looking forward to running all the tlmc events all winter and now looks like I won't be at any.
I've gotta get my club affilated and hold our own events again so I'll have a reliable close to home series to partake in.
Sorry for venting-did I mention I'm pissed off?

That sucks! We knew the 25th was a regional (partly why we switched to Saturday) but we just picked a date for the June one, I assure you it wasn't intentional, we just wanted to get the first one set up ASAP. It definetely won't be the same without you there, at least someone else will have a chance at FTD. Has anyone called you re; MAX having the usual BBQ?

No one has asked about us hosting a BBQ,I just talked to the club prez and he'll be away on saturdays for stereo competitions(I he's on crack for wasting his time with that but thats another story!)So since neither him or I is around I'm not sure if the club could pull together a BBQ on short notice or not.(we tend to do most of the club stuff)
I just got back from a test sesion at the kart track, since I've given the track owner a few thousand in rental fees over 3 years he let me rent it by the hour. The test went well, mostly just breaking in the new tires and checking the new setup-I didn't do any complete hard laps as I was gentle on the tires but the car is better than ever and FTD's would've been very possible if I could attend.
I e-mailed Dave regarding meeting me with regards to track info and trouble spots,if he doesn't want to meet me for a track walk would you be interested stewpiddass?

I think someone definetely should, you know the venue rules best, as well as the track, we definetely need to be good! There are a couple of other guys (our slalom organizers) who might go too, I'm still not 100% sure I'll make the first event.

I still haven't heard back from Dave so if you have contact info on the others involved like your new comp director maybe you could let them know we should meet soon.
Anyone have a pic of the track? I would just like to get an idea of what to expect as I have never been up to that track.
Thx J.C.
I see on the TLMC website it says Saturday May 24th Bracebridge Go-Cart Track, however on the solo II calendar it shows May 18 but it does say To Be Confirmed. So is it safe to say this will not be this weekend but next saturday?

You are correct, the first event at the kart track is the 24th.The track is 1/2 mile in length with one elevation change and plenty of corners(wouldn't be much of a kart track without em)also a good mix of corners with everything from off camber decreasing radius to hairpins to a twin apex sweeper. Those that figure out which corners to late entry will be the ones to beat.
The pavement is a little coarse as its relatively old,it has also gotten a little rough in places.I've been in parking lot and airport events that were rougher to give a comparision.
As far as expected times are concerned the fastest lap there is a 50.5 second run by me in a first gen crx,I ran a friends new dakota RT there to about a 53 second run which is one of the fastest rwd times recorded(not bad for a truck that I only made 2 fun runs in!)

Twin Lakes changed their whole season recently (see the other thread on the topic) and the Regional Events page should be updated shortly to reflect those (and other) changes.
