Looking For Any Info on an ASSEGAI Formula Car

Trying to research the history on a formula open wheel car that was registered with CASC # 97-047

Make ASSEGAI Chasis # 001 Model # CCL/97

I believe the manufactureer was F1 Imports and MFG, Ont

Anyone have any info?

Don't know? Would CASC be able to search their records from the CASC plate # 97-047?

We've got the original logbook application form filed here. Ran as car 84 in ChampCar Lights, registered by Bill Passer. Ran a 2.2 litre Neon engine. Colour was blue, yellow and white. Not much else on these forms that you don't already know from looking at the car, though.

Funny though, I thought the ChampCar Lights were basically Van Diemen Formula Renaults retrofitted with the Chrysler motor. Wonder whether there was some original Assegai alums involved in the conversion.
