How are the Atkins boys in GT1 with 83.5%?

Mike, could be pre dyno.
I think i have to run SGT3 this weekend.With a stock gt2 car with coilovers.And stripped.
The Atkins look to have a pretty quick car this year.
Or else i would be bashing them(in a friendly HADA type way).
They do drive a Mustang:rolleyes:
i will also be out in SGT3 this weekend as well...will be walking in.....

Touring 3 almost has a class.
Anybody like to join Gail and I in messing with the upper classes? :D

I'm working hard at coming, but I have a lot of stuff to cover off before I know for sure I can come. Alignment, tires, Basic license, exhaust. You'd think it'd be easy but everyone's booked solid for work in town. :(

Mike... it's pre-dyno. Dyno put the car at 79.8PI. I haven't officially given Rob the dyno sheet and re-calc'd classing form, so I guess I'm still down at 83.5.

I am in the same boat as Shaman, don`t think I will have the car ready by Fri.
Was hoping on lapping all day fri and finaly getting on the pro track.
Plus have changed things on the car and still have to get it Dynoed.

Look at the names of the drivers in GT1.. I'm so going to get my ass handed to me this year. *sigh* :)

Great to see such a close field in GT1, should make for some good competition.
Wes and Gail- I am hoping to join you guys soon (when I get my clutch fixed) so we can terrorise some of these "fast guys" in the upper classes!
Go Touring!
Simon...TR4A.

I'm knocking myself out to get there. I may have catalytics still on, which are robbing me of about 20hp, but oh well. Can't get a hoist in time (it passed Driveclean with them on!)

Greg, you're old dyno sheet should suffice until you get a new one. Since you've decontented the car you are definitely in GT1. Considering that we both have almost identical setups and you've put the emissions back on, plus full exhaust, I don't think anyone will argue.
What do you still need to complete? If the car is rolling, rent a truck/trailer and I'll help you put it together while the GT is cooling between rounds. :D

I'm going to try to be out for Sunday (yet another GT1 car) in my Prelude. I don't have any paperwork yet, so I guess I'll be doing the walk-in special.

Chris, thanks for the offer, but without a clutch I don`t think I will get far.
I could of gone somewhere else to get it fixed I guess but I am very picky who works on my car.
In the mean time I got alot of other stuff done on the car.
Put in my rad, fan, oil cooler, power steering cooler, changed throttle body and maf, altered the rear battery box a bit and wire route, koni shocks, front lower spoiler, front control arms and camber plates.
Now that you have some HP in your car you will be a threat but man look at the names in our class.
Was hoping now that I have better brakes and more HP that I could give Dave a run but now there is around 4 or so guys that I think will blow us away.:(

Sean: Well I wouldn't worry too much about the car as much as the driver. :) But hell you've got a 'teg to worry about this weekend too.

Ah, still no other T5 cars on the grid. Looks like I'll win my class again on Sunday! :p

It's all about the pax factor. Underfilled classes are paxed, that is where you find out if you win or not. If you don't score 100 points, you don't win.
Gotta love the pax factors, even if you don't understand them.
that 98 gtp.... that a supercharged 3.8l correct.....?
whst did you do to it?

In light if this new information:
Ah, still no other T5 cars on the grid. Looks like I'll loose my class again on Sunday! :p
Hi Adam, The GTP is a 3.8L supercharged 90 degree V6. (the Mustang lost!)
A bunch of stuff was done
-TOG headers, 3' exhaust with RT cat and two magnaflows.
-9" K7N cone intake
-Custom PCM code by Digital Horsepower.
-Custom built transaxle by Instense racing with LSD and 3.69 final drive, etc, etc.
-Mild cam
-3.25 drive on the supercharger from 3.8 inch stock.
-adjustable Fuel pressure regulator
-Autotap to monitor all the systems
-Nitto 555r Drag radials.
-Zex nitrous 75 shot to push me into my12 second goal before the season was out.
Thats the stuff I remember anyway.
i was thinking it would make a good transplant into a civic....if it fits ?
however is see you were using a good shot of spray to get into the 12's

Sean: I'm the driver of the "other Teg". What have I done? Not much really. Koni's with GC sleeves and LSD. That's it. Haven't driven competitevly in like 2 years though so that should be interesting to see just how rusty I am.
I'm looking forward to seeing another LS out there. It's a red Teg and I'll be the organizer for Saturday's event so come by and say hi!

Pssst . . .
Last minute entry - Nick Majors.
But - what car? - what class? (not much - class that is)
The new 350Z and run against the Barker - Sorensen - Chalvardjian - Buchanan powerhouses?
Or - - - bring out the ActionFront Sentra and fill out the T-2 class. Graham Tulett can run but he can't hide. He must be getting sick of these darn Sentra's (they're everywhere, they're everywhere).
Heck - maybe I'll just take the drag tires off the Talon and run against Joe Smiley!
See you at the track.
Ha ha ha ha ha (Evil laugh)

Nick - having seized the engine on the bunny at the transam weekend, I think you are safe from the serious equipment. However the ice racer has not been tuned for road courses but I'm ready for you if it rains! - Graham

I nominate the above... a 350Z to add to the Mustang kill list couldn't hurt. :D

Ahh another red one! haha
I think I may have seen your car at the open house, you have the evo exhaust right? Just a guess...
I havent driven competatively ever, last event was my first..

Evo exhaust? That might have been either Keith or Shane. I have a stock ITR muffler on mine. Well, I guess I'll see you there!

Oh hmm, well Im not sure. Im not to familiar with the cars, last couple weekends ago at Shannonville was my first event ever, so its going to be a challenge remembering all the cars..

Looks like I won't be there.
:( :( :(
Maybe I'll drop by.
However, I am working VERY hard to sort my car for June/July. I want this thing to be brutally fast again even with 80hp less than it had before (I detuned it).
AirCooln
05-23-2003, 02:26 PM
Thats depressing. If I had 80 horsepower less then I have now, I'd be going backwards. :D
I have the Mini running much better then it did last time around, and it feels a little stronger because of it. Most notably, it isnt coughing up a lung below 3000RPM. Still have some SU carb tuning to go, but I'm figuring it out and learning this ancient technology.
Looking forward to the Sunday.

Feel free to give me some of your hosepower guys.. I dont mind taking it off your hands, not one bit.
if it rains this weekend...i will be backing the boost off to 10psi...so that will leave an extra 44rwhp up for grabs....you can have that if it rains...ok
:)
