In addition is a new championship within the Provincial Series. Announcing:

Announcing : 2008 CASC-OR Inter-Club Autoslalom Challenge
Overall: This program is the 1st of a multi-year commitment by the sponsor and is designed to reward the CASC-OR affiliated club which is the most successful in the 2008 Autoslalom Provincial Series. The prizes can assist the clubs and CASC-OR to grow their membership through advertising or any other means they see fit. Join
Eligibility: Each 2008 CASC-OR affiliated club can enter 6 “club scoring drivers” to score points (max of 4 drivers per event will score) on their behalf at each event during the 2008 CASC-OR Provincial Autoslalom Series using the overall PAX scoring methodology in the rulebook, with the following changes:
1. All clubs must declare their ”Club Scoring Drivers” no later than the date of the Autoslalom series first event in writing to the CASC-OR Autoslalom Director. These names may not change throughout the series except in extraordinary circumstances and with the agreement of the CASC-OR Autoslalom Director.
2. No more than 1 scoring member of each club may score Overall PAX points in any one class and each club can count a total of their 4 top scorers per event
3. Any Novice driver declared as a “scoring driver” will use their novice points (they are scored against other novices only) rather than their overall class points for each event.
4. All events will count towards the season club total.
5. An event organizer may be a “club scoring driver” but will only score points if they run in the event .
6. All “Club Scoring Drivers” must display the their Club logo on both sides of their vehicle.
7. Points will be based on a modified “PAX” related system defined as follows:
a. If driver scores an overall PAX of 99.500 to 100 then they will score 10 in the club challenge
b. Drivers scoring 98.500 to 99.499 will score 9 in the club challenge
c. Drivers scoring 97.500 to 98.499 will score 8 in the club challenge
d. Etc to
e. Drivers scoring 91.5 to 92.499 will score 2 in the club challenge
f. Drivers scoring less than 91.499 will score 1 in the club challenge.
g. NOTE: Novices use the same club scoring matrix but will use the Novice “PAX” scores instead of the overall “PAX” scores as the base for their club challenge points.
Prizes:
1. The clubs will receive a cash amount paid at the yearend banquet as listed below:
a. Highest score: $ 300.00
b. 2nd highest: $ 250.00
c. 3rd highest: $ 200.00

As previously stated the 2008 rules book is largely unchanged and will be available on this site shortly.

This promises to be an exciting series with new venues mixed in with some of the most challenging locations we have visited. Please come on out, sign up and have some fun. See you on April 6.
