Anyone going to this event? This will be my first time at TMP, so I could use all the pointers I can get! Any preferred places to stay (hotel, camping?)
Arek, follow this link for a list of hotels in the area.

I'd suggest the Hagersville Inn (it's the closest to the track) or the Super 8 in Mount Hope or the Days Inn on Upper James in Hamilton (both about 20 minutes from the track). All the other places listed aren't that convenient to the track and don't look like the most appealing places to stay.

Maaaaaaaaaybe. I doubt it though. I'll be at Mosport on the 18th, so it's a little too close.
and don't forget to come join us at Mosport DDT on July 5th! Here's the link for more info :)

Yup and yup!
Ford-powered anyway!
Chris:
Whoa......... Ford. Last time I looked, I got one a them. What are the requirements for the Mosport event on the 18th? Show up and drive? Or does one have to wangle an invitation? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Seems strange that Ford guys want to be so exclusive as to exclude other makes . Only the Porsche guys do that (and we know what they are like). OTOH I can see what they would be afraid of considering most Fords have the aerodynamics of a brick and even with 300 + HP have trouble pulling themselves up that long back straight.

I used to own an '89 Mustang, would that count?

Mr Barker... who's brick got who's dart by 6kph at Shannonville? hehe
Gary, surf over to www.gtamc.com and check out the forums/road racing/Mosport Day. Mach1Steve is the organiser. Great event. Could be booked solid by now though. No trouble filling the field with late model and classic Fords. No need for F-body fluff. :D
Chris, thanks. As for the F body fluff, I agree completely, who needs 'em, especially when you have a supercharged brick!:D
