Any word on the 2008 Rules? I understand that they are largely unchanged from 2007 but that still means something has changed.
I was also going to mention the Autoslalom page on soloontario isn't updated but I see now that the open house flyer has made it up. Oh, and the schedule needs to be updated in regard to the MCO event (boo).

Hi Folks, I need some startup advice.
I previously raced 8 years in CASC ON GT Sprints and one year in the Toyo Tire series.
I had my regional licence 8 years and have also taken a Solo 1 two day school way back in 1997.
I sold my 1996 Motorola Cup SS Camaro last summer and miss the racing seen.
I would like to try Autoslalom this summer, I have a stock C5 Z06 Corvette on street tires.
1 Do I need to attend the school?
2 What class does my car fit into?
3 Can I register on the net and attend the first weekend?
4 Is there a specific Club I must belong to?
5 Do I need a race licence?

I will answer a few right now, and when I have the Rule list we can class the car. Rules will be at the open house.
1 - No, Day 2 would be beneficial for practice though.
2 - Will let you know.
3 - You cannot register on the net, but if you come early to the first event, you can register there, A registration form is available online.
4 - No specific club, has to be CASC registered though, But some clubs have benefits over others - deals for their members etc.
5 - No, just a Driving Licence.
Hope this helps, and hope to see you out there!

Hi
How do you get the Toyo discount if you cannot register online? Is it required to register first even though we can't? Or will Toyo take our word for it that we are going to when we can?

Hi
How do you get the Toyo discount if you cannot register online? Is it required to register first even though we can't? Or will Toyo take our word for it that we are going to when we can?Gary Wood, the CASC-OR Autoslalom Director (autoslalom at casc.on.ca) is maintaining the list of registered competitors. Contact him to register, and then go to the Toyo site as instructed and you'll be fine.
You will need to be series registered first to get on the Toyo program.
