I'm thinking of buying a jimmy(late 80's early 90's) to tow my honda around as they are pretty cheap(around 2500 and under).

Are there any problems I should look for with these things?

yep....i have had 2 of them...one with a 305,...and the other with a 350....we had a 87' and a 92' if i remember correctly

they really are pieces of crap...brakes are crap..the bounce all over the place..quality is crap..they suck gas like a beast..they are noisy..we used to tow a large boat with them...they were "ok" but compared to my pathfinder that i have now...its like day and night...

they are good for ramming things..and i used to jump them now and then...very soft suspension....and the rear cab comes off which is kinda neat in the summer...

ohh... the rear power window and door....crap...on both of our jimmies they failed..and never closed or worked..or got jammed in the
winter..

sorry i don't have a better review of them....

of all the SUV's i have driven/owned..

jeep cherokee, toyota 4 runner, jimmie, izuzu trooper , nissan pathfinder...

the jimmie is the worst of all of them...
