I am about to reserve a camp site at Sandbank Provincial park, its about 15km from the Picton Airport. I was hoping to share the costs of a site for Friday night and Saturday. If anyone is interested please PM me.

I might be interested. It depends on if my wife is coming or not. What do they charge for a site?

It usually around $35/night. There is a comfort station with showers etc. Up to 6 people can share a site but there is a limit on the number of tents/vehicles on the site.

Well, My wife is coming along, so I don't think we will be camping. Can anyone recomend a hotel/motel in the area?

I booked the site, its right on the beach so after a long day of baking in the hot sun at an airport you can lie on the beach and relax in the hot evening sun. Cost was $70 for the 2 nites so if anyone wants to share the site and the cost just let me know. I have reserved it for 2 people with 2 tents, parking is for 1 car but there is a separate parking lot available.

I ended up booking a motel room at the 'tip of the bay marina'. I don't think it's very nice, but it was cheap and indoors. For anyone else interested, there didn't seem to be many vacancies at most of the places I called. I would book sooner than later.
