I'm already signed up, but that is all I know. Does anyone know when we're supposed to be there and any other details?

What is kensai day and what are the details?
Kensai is a aftermarket performance shop in Mississauga, owned and operated by the fine folks from Kennedy Hi-Fi (KHF). Check out their website at www.kensairacing.com for details on the lapping day. They host a number of lapping days on the big track at Mosport, including this coming Tuesday. Price is $325 at the track or $250 if you pre-pay two weeks (or more) in advance of the event date. They run a very professional event, including marshalls, on-site ambulance, etc. They don't tolerate dangerous driving (ie. following too closely) either, which I think is great.

For those that missed it there was about thirty cars divided into three groups, plenty of open track!

See whom ever tomorrow...
Chris, you need some mufflers, my ears hurt!

Sam is right. This was a great day with tons of track time and no yahoos. Frankly I feel right out of Monty Python's, " Doctor , my brain hurts!!" My car was likely up to the task but I was too tired to run my last session for fear of having a total brain cramp (which is definitely NOT a good idea at this track). For those of you who missed it too bad, There were (I think) 7 Solo 1 competitors present ( and yes Marsh even a few Solo 2 guys)

Actually I had planned on going, but I changed my mind at the last minute because I just couldn't spare the money. Hopefully I can make one of the Kensai days later this year...

That what ear plugs are for. :D
I didn't get any clear track time on film because my batteries kept going dead. I got some clear time in the 3rd session when I was out with Dave... but the damn camera died just as I got clear space! I guess it's time for new batteries.
And then I flat-spotted a tire and my day was done - special thanks to Dave for giving the 5L credit and automatically assuming I'd blown the motor! :p An no special thanks to all of the shops in Bowmanville that think 17" rims are exotic. Ok, ok, I'll get some spare rims already.
Other than that I had a great day! Last years Yoks up front, and 8-yr old R1s out back made for a terrifically well-balanced rocket on the big track.

You should mention Chris, that Jeff Graves was my passenger and after seeing the cloud of smoke , he thought tire and I thought engine. ( This happened after Chris blew by me up the back straight and when I crested the hill there was a very significant cloud of white smoke trailing Chris's Mustang into turn 8). Certainly my hopes of having superior aerodynamics vs your 330+ hp were dashed as the brick Mustang definitely beat the " dart" Camaro up the straight. Of course not only did I have a 250 lb passenger on board ( sorry Jeff) but at the end of the day I realised that I hadn't removed the spare or jack ( duh).
OTOH Chris I am sure you had that car handling better than Perry ever hoped
I am quite sure that other than the Formula car , Chris set the fastest lap of the day ( much to the chagrin of the GTB race cars)

Darn, I wished I new you were going Dave B
I would of tried harder to make that day.
Yea the Mustangs realy like that back straight.
I was picking up some used Kumho tires while you guys were blasting around the track
Last Wed I didn`t realy like the YOKO`s there was hoping to get back out on the KUMHO`s
I can`t seem to stop spinning my rear tire of corners
Dam torque
Dave, did you keep up with Chris the rest of the course?

At least I lost 20 pounds compared to what you were claiming on Monday. At that rate I'll be down to my real weight by the weekend.

I spent a lot of time waving guys past on the straight, that hill is steep!
I could just barely keep up with the new MINI , he said his speedo read 155kph at the top, so I would be doing 95mph!
By hand timing I did several laps in 2:02 and 2:03 so I was pretty happy with that....next time 2 minutes may be possible.

Damn, I wanted to attend this event as well, but after 4 straight days at Mosport in the Vintage Festival, it was rather tough to justify bringing the BMW out for another day at Mosport.
Can there be such a thing as too much track time??
Sounds like it was a good day though.

Dave, tell it straight up my friend. I passed you out of 3, not up the straight. It's not a horsepower thing, it's handling. :D Horsepower just makes the back straight more exciting.

Chris , you may be right but I was probably just trying to keep my car on the road after having that morbidly obese Jeff Graves as well as my spare tire and jack trying to push the car out to the grass in turn 2. (Sorry Jeff, I didn't want EVERYONE to know you weighed in at 270 lb so I cut it to 250)
Greg , in actual fact I didn't run against Chris much as he was driving way too fast for me.

Jeez Jeff, don't you know that weight fluctuations like this lead to heart failure?
