It would appear that the naysayers were, in fact, correct. I missed a small exclusion in the rulebook that actually bumps my PIPs from 79.9 to 80.9. Doh! And to think that I looked through that book a dozen times.

Oh well! Congrats to Jud on his GT1 win Sunday! :)

So, now the quandry... do I try to suffocate 10 ponies from the car to regain the 1 PIP and continue to run in GT1, or do I actually tune the car and do what I was going to do before I found out that the dyno was spot on (or so I thought) and go hunting for Nissans? The latter will probably save me $$ in fuel actually being used for momentum instead of aroma. ;)

Anyhoo... I guess I have almost 2 months to contemplate since I won't be at either DDT event. Time to find some more power!

Sweating yet Nissan-boy?! :D

bring it on baby....

one more V8 to roast in my turbo flames .... ha ha hahah ahahahahahahahaahahahahahahah

just to let you know....i will be back to full power next events....not boosting to a low 10-11psi....but back to 14psi..and full power

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

another v8 to roast..another v8 to roast..lets all sing...another v8 to roast...

the lowly 13 year old single cam truck motor..has another v8 to roast..

of course i am now tempting the turbo gods....to melt my engine in a heap of molten slag...which juding by my 1050 deg C exhaust gas temps i had last race was not far away from the truth..

:)

i would suggest you find another 20-50 hp..and go that route...

less power is silly..more power is good

Actually... I'm considering staying in GT1. I only need to lose ~15 crank HP to properly account for the 0.9 PIP mistake. That's easy to fix by pulling a few degrees of timing. I just need to go find another dyno session.

I really think that I'd like to stay in GT1 and prove that 15 HP isn't going to stop me from repeating at Fabi in the fall. :D I'd like to put that one back on the books in all its legal glory.

13* 280 hp 16* 300rwhp
20 to 40 hp is childs play with V8`s
Make sure you have stock rear gears or thats another point.

Why do you have so many points with stock throttle body, Maf and fuel injectors?

GET some Hoosiers, loosen your front sway bars end links, helps plant the front tire
