Someone on another forum (CMSHG) was looking for the rules and regs for the Bulova sedan series. According to my Mosport pro programs it ran from 72 to at least 76 with 3 classes A,B,and C, but there is no rules info re prep or tires etc.
Can anyone help him out?

More info - B,C,D sedans were prepared to the SCCA production class rules of the day. I don't remember that a spec tire was specified for the series.

Robert, I ran in several Bulova races starting in 1974. As I was no where near the front, I actually don't remember anyone ever checking any eligibility items on my car. Although these items may have been looked at as part of tech but nothing was said. At least in "B" sedan, I never heard mention of a spec tire. I ran the Goodyears that were available at the time that fit on 6" wide rims as that is what I had. I still have in storage the rear quarter windows with the Bulova decals. I ran a Datsun 510, #52, very pale blue. Was actually supposed to be white but too much blue was added to the paint mix. I still have this car.

Hi Dave,
It's amazing that you still have this car. Are you vintage racing it? I never raced one "back in the day" or even owned a street one, but in the last 10 years 7 of them have passed thru my hands (in various stages of repair) - both race and street.
They are still a good low budget racer providing you can source the parts. I even know where there is another one that I might have a look at!

Robert, I'm not currently racing anything. The 510 is "sleeping". The car has a good history. It was built from a brand new shell in 1972 and raced through 1989. It sits the way it was prepared for 1990 but was not raced in 1990 or since. This is the last car raced by Francis Bradley, the first winner of the Peter Ryan Trophy that was commissioned by Roger Penske to be awarded to the Canadian Racing Driver of the Year, although the 510 was not responsible for Mr. Bradley winning the trophy.
