Thanks to all the BAC & Comp Corvette Club for a fantastic weekend. Even though we had to go back to the shop on Saturday morning to get the Banana Car after the Camaro decided it was too hot to run, we had a blast.
Thanks to the timing & scoring gang for putting up with the car & car number changes mid event.
As for the amount of track time, I have to admit I ran out of tires and steam with still a good hour of lapping time available.
If anyone ever complained of lack of track time in Solo I, you are definitely mistaken.
Over the weekend I spent more than 90 minutes on the track during competition and lapping. I went through a set of Kumho's on the front of the car.

Looking forward to the next event, if we're not flogging the XE around some other track.

Great competition in GT3, look out Pratte, I'm gunning for you now!

I was only out on Sunday but agree; a well organised event, lots of lapping, I only stopped out of sympathy for the car, and feeling too tired to give my best effort.

After a year away it was great to be back, and see new faces as well as familiar ones. Just one question, why didn't the Corvette behind the bus get out on the track? I would have liked to see that.

I had a lot of fun. Tons of lapping...and finally on a dry track :)
Thanks to the organizers and Solo I for a great event

I had a blast too. Well run and a great BBQ. I had more track time that weekend then I ever have.

Unfourtunatly, my arms muscles gave out by Sunday afternoon, and I had to leave as I was in a deal of pain, still hurts. I'll be purchasing a supportive seat before the next meet so I dont have to hang on for dear life.

One of the best Solo 1 events EVER. Kudos to the organizers and all others involved. I had a great time, looking forward to the July event. Sympathies to Russ for leaving his mark on the pit wall, but these things happen. I'll remember to do my belts up the next time BEFORE I hit the track. Thanks to all the guys and gals that helped me with my new window net.

90 minutes on DDT is enough to break car, tires, brakes, and driver! :)

No roll bar! :(
I know Doug Hart would have loved to have run his '65 Vette, but it is a convertable and doesn't have a roll bar so it doesn't meet the Solo 1 safety requirements. If you want to see this car running come out to the Corvette Autoslalom on June 15th at the Bronte GO Station.

Let me take this opportunity to thank Doug and his daughter Kimberly for coming out and setting up the BBQ.
