Done and done ;).

The petition author makes very valid points. The law is not "all bad", but it could stand a tune-up .

If for example you have your vehicle seized and your license revoked, and then at your trial you are found innocent. Whats preventing you from suing the Government to recover your losses and damages?

Thats the only thing that im unclear about with everyones problem with this law, is there something that im missing that waives your right to recover damages if you were infact innocent?

You can try to sue the government. I believe it has been attempted when people have been found innocent of DUI's, but no one has ever won to my knowledge.

Better luck just getting the law changed in the first place ;).

Apparently we pay for really good lawyers in this province. They work "for" us. They just don't work for "us".

I may be mistaken, but i seem to recall reading something in the Bill that states that the courts are not responsible for your losses due to impoundment. I could be wrong.
